Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre

Enjoy not only an amazing concert, at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, but a complete overnight experience at the historic downtown Golden Hotel.

Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre has been called one of the “greatest entertainment venues in the world” and we are delighted it is located just 7 miles from the award-winning Golden Hotel.

At an elevation of 6,450, Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre is a “geological phenomenon” and the only “naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheater in the world”.  The amphitheater’s giant sandstone walls were formed approximately 280 million years ago, but it didn’t open as a concert venue until June 15, 1941.  Seating 9,525; concert goers get a unique concert experience in an exceptional open- air environment.

Red Rocks offers visitors more than just a concert venue.  Guests can experience the 735 acre park.  Up for a hike or run?  The Park hosts two trails: Trading Post Trail and Geological Overlook Trail. Both trails are pedestrian only, so no cycling permitted.   You can also run the steps at the Amphitheatre for more of a challenge.  A zen way to approach exercise at Red Rocks could be experiencing “Yoga on the Rocks”. Red Rocks also features “Film on the Rock” where visitor can enjoy a feature film under the stars and surrounded by the natural beauty that is Red Rocks. Be sure to check out their full schedule of events. http://www.redrocksonline.com/concerts-events/calendar

In 2015, Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre became a National Historic Landmark and is a top destination for visitors of the Denver Metro area.
